Overview:
The residency program was created to assist newly graduated RNs during their first year of employment with professional development and growth. This residency requires the following for admission: current RN license holder, less than 24 months RN experience, resides or works in a rural county, and graduated from an accredited school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree). This is a FULLY ONLINE residency program built for Rural Texas Nurses.
Objectives:
- Newly graduated RNs will participate in evidence-based project
- Newly graduated RNs will demonstrate critical thinking skills
- Newly graduated nurses will apply coping mechanisms to decrease stress level
- Newly graduated nurses will be oriented to organizational culture and clinical scope and standards of practice
