The 2025 semi-annual RNO Conference was hosted by The University of Texas at Arlington’s Center for Rural Health and Nursing. This exciting event convened rural healthcare nurses and other health professionals, researchers, educators, and leaders to discuss various topics of importance to rural health, including historical contributions. The theme for this conference was Advancing Rural Nursing: Innovations and Strategies for a Healthier Tomorrow.

The conference sought to explore past, current, and future challenges and strategies to strengthen the delivery of health services and improve health in rural areas; examined creative approaches to meeting the transition to quality health care in rural settings; developed leadership skills necessary to advance rural health care access, cost, and quality; and created an environment of global learning, collaboration, and partnership with a focus on improving the quality of health care in rural populations.

Conference Affiliated Hotel/Lodging

We partnered with the local Loews hotel for this conference! The hotel is right next to the new Rangers stadium in a prime location here in Arlington, TX. The room rate is $259 per night and was available from May 27-31st.

Parking

Parking was available in lot F11, 38, & 39.

Up to 15.5 contact hours were offered for this event. The University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Commission on Accreditation.

Our conference had a focus on rural health and nursing around the world. Our goal was to work to combat these issues during our conference time and create unique ideas to bring equitable healthcare to our rural communities.

Unique Agenda

Our agenda included speakers from around the globe working in different areas of rural health care. As this year’s theme was focused on innovative strategies for a healthier tomorrow, our speakers came from a variety of areas focused on innovative and strategic health care solutions.

Networking & Relationship Building

Our conference allowed attendees to meet others working in rural health. Not only did they gain valuable information in our sessions, but also were able to build relationships with other attendees!
